Moira Were

Moira Were AM is the Mayor of Onkaparinga and a widely respected leader across the community, public, and private sectors. A trained social worker with a master’s in economics and ethics, she was awarded the Order of Australia in 2019. Moira is the founder of Chooks SA and co-founder of Collab4Good, creating platforms for female entrepreneurs and social changemakers. She has held leadership roles including CEO of Volunteering SA&NT and board positions with LGA SA, ICLEI, SA’s Medical Board, and Fire & Emergency Services, and is a diversity, democracy and business innovation advocate.
